How do I get started with Remio?

Install the Remio Host app on the computer you want to access, then install the Remio Client on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Android device. Open both apps, enter the pairing code shown on the Host, and you're connected — no account required.

How can I optimize Remio's performance?

For the best performance, connect devices on the same local network when possible. Use a wired ethernet connection for the Host computer. In the app settings, lower the resolution or FPS if you have limited bandwidth. Remio automatically adapts to network conditions, but you can also manually tune encoding quality in Settings.

Is Remio secure to use?

Yes. All Remio connections are end-to-end encrypted — your stream goes directly between your devices and never passes through our servers. We use modern cryptography and a zero-trust architecture, meaning we can't see your screen or data. Unlike TeamViewer and AnyDesk, Remio was built from scratch with security as a core principle.

What should I do if I'm having connection issues?

First, make sure both devices are connected to the internet. If on different networks, check your firewall settings — Remio needs to be allowed through. Try switching from a relay to a direct connection in Settings. Restart both apps, and if the issue persists, check our Troubleshooting FAQ section or contact support@remio.net.

What features does Remio include?
